Almost all Nokia S60v5 and S^1 phone owners dream of enjoying Symbian Belle on their devices. However, this is a dream that can never come true due to the hardware reservations of the the Nokia devices like 5233, 5230, 5800, 5530, X6, etc. As you know the S60v5 and S^1 phones by Nokia are very poor when it comes to hardware and configuration. Yes, you heard it right. A guy named tintinboss has come up an amazing CFW called ‘LinsPirat LTS Rev2.1 CFW‘ for Nokia 5233/5230/5800/5530/X6 All RMs. The CFW is reported to be the best firmware for the S60v5 and S^1 devices.

The developer of the LinsPirat LTS Rev2.1 CFW has made it clear that this new firmware is in no way fully original, but based on the fresh port of C6v41 CFW by Die2mrw007, and that he has borrowed many good things from various modders. Well, that is of no importance to us. All we need is an awesome firmware for our Nokia phone. A few weeks ago tintinboss had released an LinsPirat LTS Rev2.o. How to Install

Notes from Tintinboss:

If you hard reset, or Restore Factory Settings on your device, please flash again to get the 5 new equalizer preset and Ovi Maps.
Use provided UDA, otherwise you would not get 5 equalizer presets.
Use v.51 Core for RM-625 by binh24.
Format memory card from within phone before you give it a go.
Restart device after first boot.
Again, you must use the UDA and must not factory reset if you want Ovi Maps and 5 new Equalizers set.

Here is a short tutorial/guide to give you an idea of flashing the LinsPirat LTS Rev 2.0 custom firmware with three files. In fact most CFWs come with only 3 files: one core file, and two files that come with the CFW. Here is an example for the Nokia 5800:

Again, if you are using 5800, you have to use the PNHT CORE of 113mb and also rename the UDA and ROFS2 from v52 to v60 accordingly.
For example, if you have ROFS2 named ‘RM-625_50.0.002_prd.rofs2.V21‘, and you downloaded the V51 core for 5233, you need to rename it as ‘RM-625_51.1.002_prd.rofs2.V21′.

Same applies for All RMS. For appropriate core files, see see the links provided above.

3 Files Flashing Method:

Open JAF, go to BB5 tab.
Tick two items there: i) Manual Flash, and ii) Dead USB.
Make sure that all other boxes are unticked.
Rename your Core file from .C00 to .C0r
Click MCU and select the .C0r file (the renamed core file)
Click PPM and select the ROFS2 file
Click APE and select the uda.fpsx file.
Now flash. Done!!!

If you encounter any problem after flashing this Custom Firmware, please try a Hard Reset of your device. To do this, type *#7370# on your phone’s dialer. The default password is: 12345.

The latest is always the best as comes with the hottest stuff. Blackburn as I know is an old cfw. Best way to find out the suitable fw for you is to compare the features. A cfw that gives the most, is the best.

Dial *#0000# on your device and see the fw version there. If the version you want to flash, is greater than that n your device, you can go with it.

Hi Sam, the plus pack contains extra files like themes apps and walls. That is not a part of the flashing files. You need to download the core file for your device and rename that core file according to the name of the files you downloaded in the CFW zip.You should download this file:

You are getting this error because the files are not complete.

You must download the core files too. Rename the ROFs2 as directed above and place all files in a single folder, for example: RM-356

Download the correct file, according to fw version of your device.

Managed to extract the archive .. password is : binh24

But still the CNT light not working.. Didn’t see it and have flashed my phone without it.. its not working now.. when I start it , the screen just flutters with multi-colored lights and then it shuts off..

You must have made some mistake. Read the guide many times before you do anything. Read this guide:

Read my guide about installing CFW. You can find the link in the post above. Install latest Ovi Suite and make required preparations, you will not get the error.
As for the 7z Archive error, it is corrupted/not downloaded properly, download again.

finally I success to install the cfw but my default browser stop working and due to kernel.dll error the music player cant detect mp3 files in memory card. any patch is available about this problem. And I downloaded three times but the result still got same. Its not archive any other download link instead of media fire link. I think so !!!!!!!

Try a hard reset first by dialing: *#7370#

Give the file name that is causing the problem in downloading.

Hey I installed it on my 5233.But there are a few glitches.
1. The touch vibration doesn’t work.
2. There are no numbers in landscape keyboard.
3. Whatsapp doesn’t auto launch when phone is restarted. It also disconnects from the GPRS after any call has been made.

I installed the firmware after having a hard reset only so I’m pretty sure hard reset-ing the second time will not help

Also. Only the Linspirat Plus themes work perfectly. The Belle themes do not work correctly.

I tried 3 times hard reset after that music player detects mp3 files but only if files are in music folder Other wise it cant detect files And I also face problems as same as Mr. Jawed
No touch vibration ,Numerical function unavailable in full qwerty mode,help icon never launches,TV app And 3d photo browser Any solution !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it has. To improve battery life, calibrate it. Let your battery drain fully, then switch off the device and charge it fully. Do this 3-4 times, you will notice improvements.

My phone is Nokia 5530XM, I downloaded both 5530 RM-504 V32 New Core by binh24 and 5530 V40 new Core. I am confused as to what should I rename. I have this file on my folder – “RM-504_40.0.003_C03_prd.rofs3″ It is ROFS3 not ROFS2. should i rename it into ROFS2 or should i rename it into something else? One more thing, when i’m about to flash my phone, the PPM tab does not have a light on it. and when i click it, it asks for a PPM file. what should i do? thank you in advance!

4. my original firmware has this rofs2 file named “RM-625_51.1.002_prd.rofs2.V19″ but the cfw has this file named ”RM-625_51.1.002_prd.rofs2.V21″ ……why V19 and V21? do i need to worry about this ?

5. do i need any file from the original firmware ?
