Spb Ultimate Edition 4.0 for Spb Shell Symbian – Retouched

Here is a rearranged version of my skin pack Spb Ultimate Edition 4.0 for Spb Shell Symbian. Thanks to Siddiqee for his hard work and creativity. The archive contains the settings file for the homescreens shown in the screenshots.

Give your Symbian Touch phone a-never-before flexibility of customization. Some say it’s most beautiful skin pack for SPB Shell. Is it really? Experience yourself.

How to Install the Skin:

  1. Exit Spb Mobile Shell
  2. Copy all files to Spbshell folder to E:/Others/SPBShell
  3. Delete SpbShell_20028b16.reg file from C:/System/Apps
  4. Delete the SpbShellBackup.reg file from E:/ Private /20028b16 / (Use Xplore or Nokia File Browser for the Purpose. It can also be done with PC in Mass Storage Mode)
  5. Copy spbmobileshell.rgs to E:/Private 20028b16 (Must Do it)
  6. Run Spb Mobile Shell.

Note: Tap on the Top Right Corner for Carousal, and Left for Options. It has been seen that many of you don’t download the .reg and .rgs files, and later complain that the theme is not working fine. I hope you like it.Report me if you find any bugs.

    thanx ,but their is no spbmobileshell.rgs file in your pack also when i lock my n8 and unlock it spbshell work in background and show me the original home screen ……what is that ??never happen to me even with your ultimate pack 4.0

      In fact, this is the same pack with a different settings and arrangement. Take a backup of your Shell settings. Exit Shell, then delete the .reg files from C:/System/apps and E:/Private/ 2008b16/

      Restart your shell and Restore the settings.
      Hope it solves your problem.

    actually i figured out the problem it’s caused by your last settings file attached with this pack ,i tried my setting file and works fine.but your icons arrangement is awesome and i need it

      I have used windows 6.1 and 6.5 (both phones by HTC), but at that time, I did not know about modding. I look forward to buy a WP7 and would do some modding work for it.

    spbmobileshell.rgs isn’t there in the rar fileand is there any msetting.set file so i could have my home screen like in your preview?

      Look for the MSettings file. I should be there. If not, give a few minutes and take the help of the screenshots to configure your screen, or go to the last page of the site where you will find the original post by me.     Hi Rishabh, impossible is nothing, I have added new mwdia skins in my new WP7 Ultimate 1.0. You could find this theme at this site. I not at home now, I will try to meet your request when I come back home. Writing from hospital ATM!!

    Hi Aryan, to get those homescreens, you will have to use the MSettings.set file. Read my comments in the post ”SPB Ultimate Edition 4.0”. You will get all instructions there. You can find this post on the last page of this site.

    Great mod Raakaysh!
    I’m using SPB Mobile Shell 3.7.2 on my N97. When loading your config it says it can’t use old style widgets and there are alot of icons missing. Is there a way to fix this?

      Just three above you will find the links to my new set and reg files. Get them and use as per instructions. Please, exit shell before doing anything and delete the .reg files from C:/System/apps and E:/Private/ 2008b16

      That’s a common problem when you do not exit shell before starting the installation process and forget to delete the old reg files from the two locations mentioned in the instructions. Be careful and your problem will be solved.

        HI brother i tried all the things like i first i exit the spb shell and copied all the files to E:other/spb shell and then deleted the files and restarted the shell but the theme is not working and when i went to settings and restored the Ultimate4-sep17.set and Ultimate4-sep23.set the  no of skins changed to 7
        but the theme is not loaded so please help me this is the first time i am trying it

          Here is the detailed way which i tried to install the theme and failed

          The Spb shell version in my mobile is 3.7.2 and i am using c6-01 mobile and it is a registered version .

          First i downloaded the pack and then i extracted it and i was able to find the folder name SPBShell – Ultimate4-sep23.

          I followed the instructions correctly but the theme is not loading in my mobile ..  i have also tried you  MSettings01.set file but it is not working …

          One more thing is when the theme loaded it was the old one so i went to settings and restored with the Ultimate4-sep17.set and Ultimate4-sep23.set what happened is there were lot of icons loaded in each page and the no of pages changed from 5 to 7 but the theme did not loaded .

          “This is the first time i am trying to change the mod in my shell so please help me” brother … i have seen all your mods and all are amazing and wanted to try …

    I can`t find Contacts button. I can made button with link to Contact, but this button open old contacts, not SPB contacts. How to made link to SPB contacts or Favorite contacts?

    Well ive never seen anything like this before! You removed the bottombar and made it widget based. This is the most amazing SPB shell mod ever! What startles me is that it is complete and it has no glitches or faults at all! Fully working. Lovely experience! Very creative!- Kartikeya

      Hi Ramalingam, don’t worry about that. Connect your phone to pc via an USB cable or memory card reader. Open your memory card and browse to the desired folder. If you still can’t see the private folder, change the folder option settings from Tools in win7. Open Tools, then View tab and tick Show Hidden Files, folders.

      To view the folder via Xplore, change the configuration of the app and select Show System files, and Show Hidden Files.

    You are great buddy !!  but Can I add widgets other than those already found in “add widget” screan ?? i mean for example twitter widget or something like that.  one more question excuses it has nothing to do with SPB but my bluetooth can’t perform operation :S the question is if i hard reset my nokia 5800 will i lose my custom firmware even if i backed up from file manager ?? is there any other way to re-operate bluetooth ??  THANKS ALOT IN ADVANCE.

      Twitter and Face book live updates are not supported in Spb Shell 3.7 or 3.8.

      Try factory reset and restart the phone.

    I reported a bug way back , clicking the weather link hangs the SPB, its got to be killed , is it fine now ? have you tuned it ?

      Hi Parneet,
      Since some of the weather widgets in my skin pack are very heavy, they demand much RAM. So if you have device like 5530, 5230, 5800, etc with official firmware, you will encounter such problem. The solution is to configure as less widgets as possible and avoid fullscreen widgets, and flash some cfw that gives you more free RAM.

    Hi, Raakaysh please help me. I want to install your SPB Ultimate edition, but i haven’t found 
    SpbShell_20028b16.reg or 
    20028b16.reg file in my phone. Nowhere. and I haven’t  any file in a C:/System/Apps folder, too.

      If you are using Xplore, go to the configuration of the app and tick ‘show hidden files, and System files.
      orInstall shell, play with the settings options. Then exit shell and restart your device. Then try again.

    I follow the instruction step by step. i deleted the SpbShell form C: and deleted the other from private SpB shell_2002.. i opened the Private Spbshell_2002 and theres already a spbshell.rgs.Then after, i opened the spb shell but nothing’s change? did i made something wrong?

      If you do not find it, create a new folder in Others/SpbShell on the mass memory (E:/).
