WP7 Mod for Spb Shell

Own a Symbian^1 or S^3 phone, an want to have some Windows Phone 7 feel on it? Here is an awesome skin that can fulfill your wish. All you need is to install the Spb Mobile Shell 3.7, or 3.8  on your device and download the WP7 Mod by Monster92 aka Vladimir.

    Follow the instructions in the Post ‘Spb Ultimate Edition 4.0′. If your phone is not hacked, use mass storage mode on pc to access the ‘private’ folder on memory card. Ur problem will be solved.

    U dont need a hacked phone. Either connect ur phone in Mass Storage mode with Usb cable that comes with your phone, or use a memory card reader. In windows xp/7/Vista, go to folder option and select ‘Show Hidden Files’. Then you will be able to see the private folder. Delete the ‘Spbshell Backup.reg file from there.       SpbshellBackup.reg from private
      and
      Replace the SpbShell.rgs with the file from the downloaded folder.

      [In Phone]
      Then use xplore and and go to Sys/Apps and delete the file with .reg extension.

      U must be making some mistake. It’s important to replace the old .rgs file. Dont forget to exit shell before doing anything.

    4. Delete the file E: Private 20028b16 SpbShellBackup.reg
    (Use Xplore or Nokia File Browser for the Purpose. It can also be done with PC in Mass Storage Mode)
    5. Copy spbmobileshell.rgs to E: Private 20028b16 (Must Do it)

    What file i copy to E: Private 20028b16 anyway?

    Raakaysh good work in this site !
    If you want replace this version with the 1.1 that have integrated 7 or 8 different colour for each widget ( dclock, date, alarm, background icon, meteo etc. ). Is possible use them all together.

    something wrong with these files or their names
    when i extracted after renaming it was just 2 mb
    please upload all files in one zip and also msettings file for wp7 mod settings

      Hi Ankur, there is nothig wrong with the files u downloaded. Just rename the all zip archives as the same. For example, rename as
      ‘Wp7_mod_part1.zip’, ‘Wp7_mod_part2.zip’, ‘Wp7_mod_part3.zip’,ans so on. Then extract the zip archive, they will go into one file. Hope it solves your problem. For inatallation guide, go to the menu ‘Spb Yltimate Edition’ on the top of this page.

      You are right Sam. Spb Shell 3d is superior to version 3.7 in Transition Effects and Animation, but it does not give you more possibilities of customization as the old version.

    i mean when i copy and paste green tiles then there are no blue tiles avlb…. i guess i explained correctly ?

    hy i downloaded the file, but there were no “spbmobileshell.rgs” inside it, so i coudlnt copy it to anywhere.

    but there were a “SpbShell_20028b16.rgs” i coped this.

    after doing this, i opened again SPBShell, but the “reward” wasnt even close to the screenshot what u linked :/ .

    I had to click right bottom to menu, and it bugged like hell, few icons were WP7 styled, but just few, and not even close what was on screenshot :I .

    PS: one more thing, in C:sys/apps was no file whatsoever just a OperaMini folder :o ) .So i couldnt delete the any *.reg extension there.
    ( i had SPBshell on the Nokia x6 and i excited it)

    What did i wrong? thx for help :)
    Or if there any newer version of this WP7 mod, pls link me, and if u can a set file whit your option could be usefull too, and a screenshot how should it looks like! Thx

      Hi Nándor, to see those icons on your screen, you will have to add a widget and then change its skin. Do it repeatedly for different shortcut skins. Tomorrow I will upload another WP7 theme for the SpbShell 3.7.Regards!

    hello raakaysh.. i have been using your mods for quite some time now and even inspired to do mods myself but having troubles with adding transition effets.. how can i add transition effects to specific buttons? need help

      Do you mean change hover effect by ‘transition effects’? – the changing of button color on pressing!!!
