Started Working on SPB Ultimate Edition 5.0

Hi Friends, It has been only 13 days since I posted my last mod pack for SPB Shell. It was a huge success and most people appreciated it very much worldwide as the Download Stats show me. I posted it on this blog  2 days later of its actual release . Since then it has been downloaded more than 2000 thousand  times(still counting), despite the fact it was uploaded on many other sites and file hosting hubs. At a time when most of Symbian users are leaving the OS and opting for Android, I thought it is best time for a mod that gives us more possibilities of customizing the Homescreens of our Symbian phones even than Android phones itself.

I am heartly thankful to you all for visiting my blog and using my stuff. Keep in up! I would also like to request you all to help me in promoting the blog because it’s not possible without you. Please, refer to this site wherever you visit, such as forums, blogs and social networking sites. You can share or recommend this site on Facebook and Twitter directly from this site. Let’s save the dying Symbian. If any of you have some personal requests regarding my upcoming Mod, please let me know. You can write your requests and suggestions in the Comments’ Section below.     If I didn´t found your work I would have changed already my 5530 for an android. Meanwhile let´s save from dying our beloved Symbian!
    I will expect that new version, and if possible with new widgets to put our devices with happy face :)

    I think maybe you can take screen shots of iPhone main screens and then make it a skin like you did with android, iPhone bottom bars etc.

    then we can put invisible shortcuts and use the homescreen like iPhone. how's that?

    and is it possible to select differnt wallpapers for New1, New2 and New3 homescreens (the extra 3 ones…they take up the same wallpaper as the lifestyle homescreen by now)

    I was thinking about some cool additions to your huge mod.

    It'd be cool if we could have small incoming items widgets which would light up red and show the number of calls /sms / emails received as shown here:

    The reason I'm suggesting them to you instead of doing them myself is that I don't know much how coordinates work and how to change the size of the box.

    About the existing widgets, I'm not too fond of the multiple variants of HTC digital clocks as well as the "Jeans" style, but I sure love the other ones.
    That's pretty much it for now.

          Well, the carousal eats the ram when u activete it. Otherwise it does not affect cpu or ram usage. Check it out by watching the ram status while the carousal is activated.

    well rakaaysh..I’ve some suggestions for your new mod pack. can you add the optional android style “box” icons for application shortcuts and bluetooth, wifi etc? I’m talking about this ones from the “android freshyo” mod.

    and also…is it possible to add an option to have a up and down scrollable homescreen from the windows phone7 mod? and if possible taller? the one in the original mod is not that tall. so not much widgets can be added.

    and please don’t remove the carrosal. I love that thing…

      Well the page scroll can be added but in a separate mod. As for the Glass Bubble shortcut, I will add it in the next mod.

          No mate, I did not say that it is possible to add page scroll just on one homescreen. It’s not possible. The page scroll mod snatches away the look of our homescreen and 7+7 pages. That is why I said to make a separate mod for it, and not add in Spb U.E. 5.0

            I know the Mod from WM but i have don´t know that This Mod can Ported to Spb Shell Symbian TOO but like you sayd Raakaysh bro Impossible is nothink :-)

    Hello friends, my suggest ( not for me but for many users ): put in your next pack also an alternative qa_layouts for have setting in bottom ( I prefer in top, but many users prefer in bottom, only for have more possibilities ). The WP7 mod by Monster92 come with vertical scrolling because by default have only Lifestyle ( or Professional, not remember ) set with only one page active. In your mod with 7+7 pages you can have scrolling in extra home or is also possible a new style for SPB with 6,7 or 10 home all with 1 page but all with scrolling ( in this case for have rapid access to each home is good add shortcut to extra home in Favorite and Recent used, so by central button can select a desire home, or add in each home the icons like the vertical icons posted by papashango few days ago, or make a new dedicated bars ).
    But … first of all … thx for your work !

    Got it working on WP7 by monster92 1 Page i have all my Filesshortcuts and Widgets its a hard work but it works like Charm :-) I will post the Setfile in Dailymobile a bit later then its easy to have all at 1 Page Thx Expinox for the Tip i not tryd the WM7 before

    hi raakaysh…In the ultimate edition 5 are you going to add most of the icon packs that you’re posting lately in this blog? because it’ll be really handy to have all these icons. because you know then we will be able to change the skins of various applications as well…not just status icons.

      Well, I will certainly try to give it a new look by replacing the old icons with new ones. However, if I try to overload it with thousand, or say 400 icons, the shell will crash.

    I support you RAAKAYSH, SPB is great software, but you people make it even better! SPB shell looks great on my N8, the only problem is, I can’t find the folder containing the installed files, so that I can add the modded software, and I can’t change a thing.. 
    I could use some help from you people here.

      To have access to the specific folders, use LCG Xplore.sis or Nokia File Browser. Can also see them by connecting your phone via usb (or memory card reader) to PC in Mass Storage mode.       At the moment, I am at my native village. Bought a laptop but all my files and PSDs are in my PC. As soon as I get home, I will try to release it as soon as possible.

    Someone has already mentioned this…But let me reiterate … add blank icons of various sizes. 
    I am not sure whether this can be done…but can you make pictures frames of smaller sizes i.e. icon size (with no boarders), so that in combination of blank icons we could use any of our own pics as functioning icons? Or is there any other way of doing this? 
    By the way, hats off to the hardwork you are putting in! Amazing creativity coupled with unparalleled sincerity. Keep up the fantastic work! 
    Oh & one more thing…when we touch any of the icons, that square/rectangle gets kind of highlighted (in whitish tone) before app is launched. Can you disable this? Or reduce that whitish tone & make it more transparent? Because that would add great finesse to the look.
