Must Do: Read Carefully

  1. Exit Spb Shell first.
  2. Copy all files to Spbshell folder to E: \ others \SPBShell
  3. Delete SpbShell_20028b16.reg file from C: \ system \ apps
  4. Delete the file E: \ Private \ 20028b16 \ SpbShellBackup.reg (Use Xplore or Nokia File Browser for the Purpose. It can also be done with PC in Mass Storage Mode)
  5. Copy spbmobileshell.rgs to E: \ Private \ 20028b16 (Must Do it)
  6. Run Spb Mobile Shell.

Note: Tap on the Top Right Corner for Carousal, and Left for Options. It has been seen that many of u don’t download the .reg and .rgs files, and later complain that the theme is not working fine. I hope U like it.Report me if u find any bugs.

    Tap on the Top left corner of ur screen, choose 'Add widget', select 'Shortcut', open different folders to find the desired shortcut. Select the shortcut, then u will see the shortcut on ur homescreen, now tap on icon box, select 'change skin' to chose from hundreds of beautiful icons and bottom bars. Repeat these steps to add as many shortcuts u want.

    i mean how do i add the same icons in different page..
    for eg u have a notification sms icon in professional layout..
    the one that turns red..

      You can make a Shortcut of ”Contacts” or ”Favourite Contacts” on ur home screen and change its skin with an icon from the icon skins. Tap on the top right corner of ur home screen, select Add Widgets, then Shortcut, then Spb. Then select ‘CONTACTS’ or ‘FAVOURITE CONTACTS’. U will find a contacts icon on ur screen. Tap on the icon box and select ‘Change Skin’, browse and scroll down to choose from a lict of icons, select any of them. U can also select an invisible shortcut on ur screen. Every thing is there, just search for it.

    do i have to go to carousel everytime to select it?
    cuz my default contact book in Satio doesnt have kinetic scrolling..
    and its a pain..
    so i prefer SPB Shell's..

    If you are not getting all skins, it means you must have made some mistake in in he installation procedure.
    First of all EXIT Shell before doinf anything. To exit, go to SPB Menu and tap on Settings, then tap on right bottom corner and select EXIT SHELL.
    Use LCG xplore or Nokia File Browser for the purpose. If you use Xplore, Customize its Configuration to show System Files.
    You must replace old SpbShell_20028b16.reg file from C: \ system \ apps, and delete E: \ Private \ 20028b16 \ SpbShellBackup.reg. Then copy/replace the spbmobileshell.rgs to E: \ Private \ 20028b16.

    No, U don't need to open carousal every time to open contacts. Tap on the top left corner, choose ADD WIDGET from the pop-up, then tap on SHORTCUT icon, then tap on SPB. Here you will get many shortcut options. Select 'Fovourite Contacts'. Now u will see the selected shortcut on ur screen, tap on it to change skin. U can choose either an invisibe link, or any other icon u like.
    To configure Contacts, u can go to SPB MENU-SETTINGS-GENERAL. Just keep playing with all options of the Shell, You will soon become a master. U can also Press and Hold on your Homescreen to activate Edit Mode, and by tapping on the Widget Boxes u can chose from a number of widgets' skins to jazz up ur phone.
    Read care fully and follow the instructions, u will not encounter any problem. Enjoy the most beautiful Skin Pack on ur Nokia Phone.

    To get the screens like shown in the Preview pictures, use MSettings.set file. U can find a detailed guide to use this file in the Downloaded Archive. Read the text file.

    I've read the comments and I'm still unable to find a solution to my problem, which is, whenever I get message and click on notification SMS icon, the message opens in my inbox. But I want it to open in the conversation with the current sender.
    Is there a way to do it?

    The default settings in SPBShell opens the inbox of ur phone. It does not support Message box. May be in the next update SPB Software House adds this feature. Stay tuned for SPB Ultimate Edition 5.0

    No, Nokia or Samsung phones dont have a separate icon for conversations like in Satio. U can make a shortcut of that Application on ur homescreen.

    1. Exit shell before doing any thing
    2. Be careful in the use of .rgs and .reg files.

    A few posts above, U will find a detailed guide. Its easy, but be carefull, I insist.

    I dont know why u r facing such problem. One possible solution: exit shell, delete the SpbShell_20028b16.reg file from C: \ system \ apps, and E: \ Private \ 20028b16 \ SpbShellBackup.reg

    Restart Shell and configure it manually by tapping on the top right corner- Settings and SPB Menu–Settings–General and Homescreen.

    Try this once. Hope it helps u.

    It works and looks great! Only one thing, when I go to messages in the SPB menu there's only a black screen.
    Am I doing something wrong here? Everything else works perfect.

    Well I dont know the cause of the unique problem you are facing, my friend. Try restarting your phone, again and again. Don forget to exit shell before u do this.

    Okay friend, welcome to this blog. First of all you will have to configure Xplore before you can see the desired folders. Open Xplore, Tap on 'Menu'-Tools'- 'Configuration'- then select (Tick) 'Show System Files/Folders' and 'System Application'.

    Do this. U will not face any problem. Follow the instructions given with the Downloaded zip Archive.

    By 'E:/' I mean the the memory slot other than Phone Memory. Try to search for those folders in the same memory in which you have installed the Spb Shell. For example, if you have installed it in Phone memory, search it in that memory, and if in any other memory, search there. That's it.

      When you put bmp files in dat The Theme will crash Slow Ram Phones Vasiliev becouse bmp files are bigger in widgets for Ram as rle files think about that Amigo

    hi there I do have a unhacked 5230 & I somehow cant access the E:\private by any file manager!! I tried to change the settings in X-Plore u mentioned above but of to no avail! Only Netqin Mobile Guard showed the private folder but I still cant perform the del/replace actions on them well this is 4 unhacked phones too.. right?!

    If you dont have a hacked phone, my suggestion for u is that u should use the MSettings.set file. The procedure for using this is given in the text file inside the downloaded folder. I hope it wll solve ur problem to some extent. U can also try Nokia File Browser or Swiss Manager Pro (download it from this blog) in place of Xplore.

    Hi Raakaysh, I have using many SPB Shell themes, but never come across this kind of all in one shell theme, Superb work bro. Mine is nokia N8, i useing your setting file where I could recongfigure the things so wonderfully, but only disadvantage I find is , the tild for my N8 is not happening in this Theme, unlike other themes, if I rotate my phone to 90%, the icons are not tilting, did i do some mistake in installion?(else it wouldnt work at prior iself).
    Another thing is almonst in all the forums you are telling the users to install in E:/Private folder, but when i tried to create that folder it didnt accepted but sucessfully using your Theme by installin in C folder(as you have directed just changed E to C) ..
    Please suggest . Thanks

    To change background, tap on the top right corner of the screen; for carousal, tap left. As for the dock picture, I don’t understand what u r talking about, show me the picture. To configure bottombars and icons, add a program icon and tap on it in edit mode, change skin and u will find many icons and bars. To configure the link of ur desired icon, just tap on it in edit mode and change link.

    Edit mode can also be enabled by ‘tap and hold’ on ur screen. Just spend a few minutes ans u will be able to customize ur homescreens in different styles.

    @ anonymous, for have access to E:Private no need hack, is sufficent connect the phone to PC in mass storage and select in Windows View Hidden Folder, I make this with 5230 of my wife and my son.

      Sorry mate, this feature is not supported by the current version of Spb Shell. There are rumours that Spb Shell 3d is coming to symbian OS. May be this features added in the new Version.

            No, I had it working fine before I tried to get the 3 screens. After, cannot get the skins to come up when adding widgets. The skins are there when restoring with the Msetting file, but only those. Not sure what to do to use the different skins like before.

      Yes, because the reg files contain the settings and record of your Spb Shell, if u don’t delete it, it will try to impose the settings of the old mod. And because of the difference of the names widgets, it will fail to do so. That’s it, buddy.

      In fact, the reg file that u need to delete before installing a new mod, contains the registry information. So u will have to register the Application every time u intall a new mod.

        Welcome to this site. You can certainly fix your problem with the 3D carousel. Here are the instructions:
        Open the SpbShell_20028b16.reg. You can find this file in C:/System/apps (c: means phone memory). Copy this file to your PC.Right click on the file, select edit. On the 14th line, you will find this ‘GlEnabled=1′. Now turn the value ’1′ to ’0′. Save the changes and replace the old file. That’s it. If you still face problem, notify me.

        If your phone has three memories ( phone memory, mass memory, and Memory card), preferred installation destination should be the Mass Memory. But if you have to choose between Phone Memory and Memory Card, better choose Memory Card to install the Shell.

    hai raakasyh….i have a little bug with spb ultimate edition….it is picture frame widget…if we tap on that widget it will maximize and that’s okay
    the problem is when we tap on the setting an then set as background …you’ll see the bottombar will messed up
    so…can you give me solution how to fix it???

      Select the picture frame wallpaper first and then put the bottom bars and other widgets  over it. Or if I have not guessed your problem correctly, upload a picture with your comment.

    I’m Using SPB Mobile Ultimate Edition , Superb WOrk ! Its really most beautiful skin pack for SPB Shell.

    Sir , I follow all your instructions , Its working fine . but , here is one problem . My SPB shell is not Showing Bottom Bar . on my homescreen its not showing Menu Button ( Round Coursal Menu ) and Option button ( add widget and change wallpaper ) that are present in normal SPB Shell on bottom bar corners. 
    So, Plzz guide me how can i make appear Carousal Button and” add widget” menu button on bottom bar of my homescreen .

     2) and in menu of any aaplication  , there is no option or back button ) when i tap on the bottom corners it works but there are no buttons buttom bar is blank in menu.
    I hope you have got my Issue.
     Plzzzzz , Resolve my Issue.

    I will start out saying I LOVE YOUR THEME MAN ! <3
    Keep the good work up!
    I just have 1 single damn issue.
    Left button on my N8 turns me back to the default N8 menu, and not SPB menu :(
    I have tried to play a little bit with qa_layouts.dat, but i had no luck ..
    Please, i would a solution !

      Uninstall the Shell, Install it again. Delete the SpbShell_20028b16.reg. You can find this file in C:/System/apps (c: means phone memory). Then follow the installation procedure again. Hope it works.

    I have done all that you requested to install v4.0 but when I check my Samsung Omnia HD it says it has stayed on v3.7.2 of SPBShell???Please tell me what to do to get this v.4.0 fully working.Thank you

        I had installed v3.7.2 of SPBShell in my phone.Then I have exited the shell as you have explained.I had then transfered the folder SPBShell as you said and from there I had completed step-by-step all of what you said it needs to be done.And still i got 3.7.2.Now I have uninstalled SPBShell from my phone and I await if you can give me step-by-step solution once more.Which installation file do I need first to install on the phone to have the base shell and then to transfer your files in other-spbshell in order to get v4.0.Please help.

          Okay, do this: I assume you have installed Shell in Mass Memory.
          Exit shell, then using Xplore, delete the SpbShell_20028b16.reg  from c:/System/apps and SpbShellBackup.reg from e:/Private/20028b16

          Now put my files to these locations:
          1. SpbShell_20028b16.reg to c:/System/apps
          2. SpbShellBackup.reg to e:/Private/20028b16
          3. spbmobileshell.rgs to e:/Private/20028b16
          4. Open the SpbShell folder and copy its .dat files in e:/Others/SpbShell

          Restart Shell. and 
          Tap on the left Corner of your screen for 3D carousal and top left for options.

          Then you can add widgets and change their skins as you want. You can also us the MSettings.set file to configure the shell (instruction provided in the text file inside the downloaded folder.

            I told that I have uninstalled the SPBShell 3.7.2 that I had earlier from my phone.Nowhere in your posted files I do not see installation file for SPBShell or am I getting something wrong?

            So Raakaysh I done all that you said and still I get v3.7.2.I mean now I feel frustrated.I have done all by the book and still nothing.I can not get v4.0 and I want it now so badly!I have n205 on my omnia hd i8910. Does that maybe makes the problem.
            So I have installed the 3.7.2 trial version in E:(memory card of phone) from SPB Shell website.Then I had it exited and got the usual Samsung menu.From there I had follow you rules of transfering the files to :

Copy spbmobileshell.rgs to E: Private 20028b16 (Must Do it)  (IS IT A spbmobileshell.rgs from Rgs-Reg-Mettings Files folder or Rgs File for 3 Extra HS???)6. Run spb mobile shell.In installed applications it even says I have Spb Mobile Shell 3.07(673)installed and in SPB About icon it says v.3.7.2 (build 673).I am turning in circles once more.Please help.

    Hi there Raakaysh,
    I am loving this mod to the shell you have done.
    The only thing is. I think after I put on to many widgets and the phone is restarted 60% of the widgets are gone? Then I try to do a restore from a backup and still the same missing widgets.
    Only thing then is to start again creating new HS and not using two many widgets.

    to SPB Ultimate Edition 4.0 , Can you please guide me how to do this, as i like the media player skins in those mods a lot.

    In SPB Ultimate Edition 4.0 , we only get the option of selecting only 4 skins for media player, and i want to add these two also. Hope you understood what i mean.

      Hi Glenn, this is just a common problem with N8 users but don’t panic. Uninstall the shell and delete the .reg file from C:/System/Apps. Delete the dat files from SpbShell folder and repeat the installation process again. From ‘Settings’-General, try swithing yes and no in ‘Override Menu’.

      Welcome to my site. Tap on the top left corner to activate the 3D carousal, swipe on the screen till you see a window panel entitled ‘Spb Menu’. Tap on the panel and select ‘Settings’. Here you will see some icons like- General, Homescreen, etc. Then tap on the right bottom corner on the Settings icon. Select ‘Exit Shell’. Done.

          Try these

          1. Uninstall and reinstall Shell

          2. Format/reset your phone and reinstall the Shell again. 
          3. If the RAM Memory of you phone is left less than 15-20 Mb after running, the Spb Shell, the problem is low RAM. To solve this, flash your phone with some good Custom Firmware. 

          Hope your problem will be solved.

            i have 120 average RAM sir. actually its my second installation, my first didn’t work.. my 2nd try works great it just that it lag sometimes if you swype the menu fast… the reset/format is not an option to consider for me sir, im afraid for my c7

      As for your question regarding my Skin Pack for Spb Shell, here is the answer:
      Tap on the top left corner of the screen and select ‘Add widget’, then tap on the icon ‘Shortcut’ and add any shortcut (select Menu, for example). Now you will see the selectet Menu icon in an outlined box. Tap on this and select Change Skin. This will lead you to a skin selection screen. You can select the icons or bottom bars of your choice from here. Having selected an icon and bottom bar, tap on the icon/bar when it appears on the screen, and add more repeating the same steps. On the bottom bars you can put invisible links of the desired Application. Give a few minutes to this and you will be able to customize your phone in hundreds of ways. Add a widget and select Change Skin option to see hoe many skins are present there in the pack. You can simply use the MSettings.set file to configure my Personal settings. Read my answers to asked questions above, you will find the solution to all your problems. Regards!

      Hello Yateesh, You will find the specified folder only if you have been using Spb Mobile Shell previously. Any way, do this:

      Uninstall your Shell and reinstall it. Then exit shell from ‘SpbShell Settings>Tap on the Left Bottom Corner>Exit’. Now go to E:/Others/. Here E means memory card or the Mass memory of the phone (not Phone Memory). If you do not find there the folder, make one as ‘SpbShell’ (please spell it as I have written), then copy/paste the dat files provided in this folder.
      Having done this use Xplore and follow the instructions given inside my Zip file. If you still face problem, let me know. Please recommend my site to your friends. Being new, it needs promotion among Symbian touch phone users. Thanks for visiting.

Here is my problem, I have installed SpbShell in my Nokia C5-03 mobile in Memory Card. But I didn’t find any folder what you have said i.e., in C ( Phone memory) or in E ( Memory card). I have not found any folder in my Phone memory also like C://system/apps. I found system folder but in that I didn’t find anything.

          Look at the pictures attached below, Yateesh. They will give you some idea. Use Xplore (software), for the purpose. In Xplore, go to options, Tools>Configuration and check the boxers as shown in the first picture. 

          As I said above, make a new folder entitled ” SpbShell ” in the Others folder in your memory card. As for the folders  E:/Private/20028b16, you will not be able to see them unless your phone is hacked or you have installed Rom Patcher. No problem, here is an alternate way: Use a memory card reader to access and edit these files, or connect you phone to PC with USB Cable and select the connection in Mass Storage Mode and copy/replace the spbmobileshell.rgs file and delete the SpbShellBackUp.reg present there.Insert the Mem. Card back to ur phone and Start shell.       Seems you are using a S60v5 device that do not support the 3d carousal. Copy the .reg file from c:/system/apps to your desktop and right click and edit it. Search for GL Enabled=1 and change ’1′ to ’0′. This will disable the 3d carousal to a non 2d. Try this.

      If you have installed Spb Shell, restart your device and browse the private folder again. Use Xplore or mass storage mode via pc to access the folder. In Xplore and pc, change the configuration to view hidden files.

      Always Exit Spb Shell first before doing any thing. You can find the answers to most FAQs if you read my replies to the asked questions below.

    it is perfectly working on my phone but I am unable to find a ‘Launcher’ shortcut, i’m able to add any widget or shortcut to screen… but can’t find the ‘Launcher’ in the widgets or shortcuts, and i’m  unable to add background in professional layout too …………. please give some solution bro
    and is there any way to add an ‘application folder’ in spb homescreen?
    I’m using SPB 3.08 as base application on my nokia 5233 does that matter?

      tap on the top left corner of the screen to in professional mode to change the background. You must put some 720×594 px wallpapers on E:/Images/photos/SpbShell folder.

      Tap on top right corner and you can go to carousal and you can navigate to other options. Since Spb Shell does not support folders on homescreen as I remember.
